MyCardBatch vs. TCG Automate
TCG Automate and MyCardBatch both scan trading cards and turn them into eBay listings. The biggest difference is how you pay: TCG Automate is a monthly subscription, MyCardBatch is pay-as-you-go. Here's how they compare, including where TCG Automate is the better fit.
How you pay
TCG Automate is a subscription with a monthly scan allowance. Plans start at $10 a month for 500 scans (Beginner) and run through Standard ($19, 1,000 scans), Pro ($40, 3,000), Elite ($90, 10,000), Ultimate ($175, 20,000) and Legendary ($200, unlimited). Paying yearly lowers each by about 10%. Unused scans roll over up to the plan's allowance, and new subscribers get a 7-day trial of Pro features for up to 500 listings. (From TCG Automate's pricing page, October 2026. Check it for current prices.)
MyCardBatch has no subscription. The first 100 card uploads are free, then you buy one-time packs: 250 for $5, 500 for $9, 1,000 for $17 or 5,000 for $75. Uploads never expire. See pricing.
What that means in practice
- You list about 500 cards every month: the cost is close: $10 a month against a $9 pack.
- You list in bursts (a big batch after a show or a collection buy, then a quiet month or two): packs cost less, because a month with no listing costs nothing.
- You want to try it first: MyCardBatch's 100 free uploads need no card and don't expire; TCG Automate's trial lasts 7 days and then renews as a paid plan unless you cancel.

When TCG Automate is the better fit
If you sell Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece or other card games beyond Pokémon, list on TCGplayer, Shopify or Whatnot as well as eBay, or run a high-volume shop with a card sorter, TCG Automate covers ground MyCardBatch doesn't.
When MyCardBatch is the better fit
If you sell sports cards and Pokémon on eBay, especially in batches rather than every day, MyCardBatch costs nothing in the months you don't list, gives every feature in every pack, and matches each card against set checklists for the set, number and parallel.
Try it on your own cards

Is TCG Automate a subscription?
Yes. Plans are billed monthly or yearly, starting at $10 a month for 500 scans, according to its pricing page in October 2026.
Does MyCardBatch have a monthly fee?
No. You buy card upload packs when you need them, from $5 for 250, and the first 100 uploads are free. Uploads never expire.
Which is cheaper?
It depends on how steadily you list. At about 500 cards every month the two cost about the same. If you list in bursts, pay-as-you-go packs cost less because quiet months are free.
